Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a junior Capital Markets Associate to join its London office. The role has arisen within a highly regarded, organically grown practice that acts as an important hub within the firm’s global capital markets platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to gain exposure across UK, European and US capital markets transactions within a fully integrated team. The work spans Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and US securities matters, with regular involvement in cross-border transactions for leading issuers, underwriters and financial institutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise on a broad mix of ECM, DCM and US securities transactions.
  • Work on IPOs, follow-on offerings, secondary offerings, rights issues and capital raisings.
  • Support Rule 144A / Reg S offerings and other cross-border securities matters.
  • Assist with public company advisory work.
  • Collaborate with international teams across major financial centres.
  • Take on meaningful responsibility within a lean, partner-led team.

About You

  • 1-2 PQE, or US class year 2023-2024 equivalent.
  • England & Wales qualified or US-qualified, with New York qualification particularly attractive.
  • Strong ECM experience gained at a leading capital markets practice.
  • Additional DCM experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong academics and technical ability.
  • Interest in US-facing and cross-border capital markets work.
  • European language skills would be advantageous.
  • London experience is preferred, although relocation candidates may be considered.

Why Apply?

  • Join a highly regarded capital markets practice with genuine UK, European and US securities capability.
  • Gain broad exposure across ECM, DCM and wider capital markets work rather than being siloed into one product area.
  • Work in a lean team offering strong partner access, visibility and early responsibility.
  • Collaborate closely with international offices on sophisticated cross-border mandates.
  • Develop within a stable, collegiate team with a strong record of organic growth.
  • Attractive platform for ECM-focused associates looking to broaden into a full-service capital markets role.
  • No formal billable hours target, with a competitive bonus framework.
