A top-tier global Am Law firm with a premier regulatory and government-facing practice, is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to support high-profile practice groups focused on government relations, public affairs, government contracts, and the education sector.

This is a highly strategic opportunity for an experienced legal marketing/business development professional to partner closely with senior practice leadership in driving growth initiatives across complex, fast-moving, and politically sensitive practice areas.

This role will be hybrid, requiring 4-days on-site in Washington, D.C.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving strategic business development and marketing plans aligned with practice growth priorities
  • Managing pitches, RFP responses, client presentations, and strategic pursuit opportunities
  • Supporting client targeting and relationship development initiatives
  • Executing integrated marketing campaigns, thought leadership initiatives, and profile-raising efforts
  • Overseeing events, webinars, sponsorships, and client-facing programs
  • Managing budgets, tracking ROI, and delivering actionable market and competitive intelligence
  • Collaborating directly with senior partners and cross-functional BD/marketing teams globally

 

Ideal background:

  • 5+ years of legal or professional services marketing/business development experience
  • Strong experience supporting regulatory, government-facing, public policy, or similarly sophisticated practice areas
  • Proven success managing high-level stakeholders and complex strategic initiatives
  • Exceptional writing, project management, and executive presence
