Corporate & Securities Associate

A prominent international law firm known for its collaborative culture and sophisticated transactional practice is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Corporate & Securities practice in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney looking to work across a broad range of sophisticated corporate matters within a supportive and highly collegial team environment.

The practice advises companies at all stages of growth across a variety of industries on strategic transactions, financings, corporate governance matters, and complex commercial agreements. This role offers exposure to diverse transactional work and the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships while working closely with experienced practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters
• Support mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and corporate documents
• Advise clients on general corporate governance and day-to-day corporate matters
• Work directly with partners and clients on sophisticated transactional matters across multiple industries

Candidate Profile

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Admitted to practice in Illinois or eligible to waive in
• 3–5 years’ general corporate/transactional experience from a law firm environment
• Experience handling a broad range of transactional matters; deal experience is strongly welcomed
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively within a team
