Overview
A leading international law firm is seeking a high-quality Tax Associate to join its growing London practice.
This is a broad, transactional role involving work across the firm’s corporate, private equity, finance, real estate, infrastructure and restructuring practices. The successful candidate will combine strong technical tax knowledge with commercial judgement, effective matter management and an interest in developing client relationships.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Advise on the tax aspects of corporate and M&A transactions.
  • Support private equity investments, acquisitions and disposals.
  • Work on financing, real estate, infrastructure and projects-related matters.
  • Advise on restructurings and general corporate tax issues.
  • Handle complex cross-border matters alongside colleagues across an international network.
  • Interpret legislation and case law, translating technical issues into practical commercial advice.
  • Manage transactions and defined workstreams proactively.
  • Build relationships with clients and colleagues across complementary practice areas.
  • Contribute to business development and the growth of the Tax practice.
About You
  • Qualified in England and Wales with approximately 2–5PQE.
  • Internationally qualified candidates may also be considered where they have at least two years’ relevant London experience.
  • Broad corporate and transactional tax expertise gained within a leading international or top-tier law firm.
  • Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of clients’ wider business objectives.
  • Confident managing matters and taking ownership of complex workstreams.
  • Able to communicate sophisticated tax concepts clearly and practically.
  • Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills.
  • Interested in business development and building a long-term market profile.
