Leveraged Finance Associate

The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking a Leveraged Finance Associate to join its Atlanta office.

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded finance practice advising private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, financial institutions and other market participants on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financing transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking to gain significant responsibility within a busy transactional practice, working closely with partners and clients on complex, high-value matters.

The Role

The role will include:

• Leveraged buyout and acquisition financings
• Sponsor-backed transactions
• Senior secured and unsecured credit facilities
• Term loan and revolving credit facilities
• Refinancings, recapitalisations and amendments
• Cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financings
• Other complex corporate lending transactions

Associates can expect direct partner and client exposure alongside the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for transactions.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience within leveraged finance, debt finance or a closely related finance practice
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating credit and financing documentation
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong written, analytical and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Admission to the relevant state Bar, or eligibility to become admitted
