A globally recognised law firm is looking for a Debt Finance Associate to join its market-leading Energy & Infrastructure practice. This opportunity is available across New York, Washington, DC, and Houston, offering associates the chance to work on some of the most significant energy and infrastructure financings in the market.
This role sits within one of the industry’s premier Energy & Infrastructure practices, advising clients on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions across both traditional and renewable energy sectors. The successful candidate will work alongside leading practitioners on high-profile matters that are shaping the future of global energy and infrastructure.
The Role
You will advise sponsors, lenders, developers, institutional investors, private equity funds and strategic investors on a broad range of debt finance transactions involving energy and infrastructure assets.
Your work will include advising on:
- Acquisition finance transactions
- Project finance and development finance
- Corporate and structured financings
- Domestic and cross-border lending transactions
- Energy and infrastructure acquisitions
- Refinancings and recapitalisations
Projects span a diverse range of sectors, including:
- Renewable energy (wind, solar, hydrogen, renewable gas and carbon capture)
- Oil and gas, including LNG
- Conventional power
- Digital infrastructure, including data centres and telecommunications
You will play a key role in drafting and negotiating:
- Credit agreements
- Note purchase agreements
- Depositary agreements
- Security and collateral documentation
- Ancillary financing documents
Associates also gain valuable exposure to commercial project agreements, acquisition documentation and the wider commercial aspects of complex infrastructure investments.
