Debt Finance Associate

The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is looking to add a talented Debt Finance Associate to its New York office.

The role sits within a sophisticated finance practice advising borrowers, sponsors, banks, direct lenders and other financial institutions on a wide range of financing transactions.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced partners on complex domestic and cross-border matters while developing strong client relationships and taking on increasing responsibility.

The Role

The role will include:

• Acquisition and leveraged finance
• Secured and unsecured lending
• Syndicated credit facilities
• Direct lending and private credit transactions
• Refinancings and recapitalisations
• Asset-based and other structured lending arrangements
• Amendments and restructurings
• Cross-border financing transactions

The position offers exposure to sophisticated transactions and the opportunity to work with leading financial institutions, private capital providers and corporate clients.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant debt finance experience gained within a leading law firm
• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements and related finance documentation
• Strong transactional and technical skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced team
• New York Bar admission or eligibility to become admitted
