An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Debt Finance Associate to join a highly regarded US law firm in either its New York City or Los Angeles office.
The successful candidate will work on a range of sophisticated leveraged and commercial finance transactions, advising borrowers and other market participants across sponsored and non-sponsored deals.
The role
- Advise on syndicated lending and secured finance transactions
- Work on leveraged finance matters for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies
- Support borrower-side asset-based and cash-flow credit facilities
- Draft, review and negotiate credit agreements and related finance documents
- Coordinate due diligence and manage key stages of transactions
- Work closely with clients, partners and colleagues across related corporate practices
- Take increasing responsibility for transaction management and client communication
Candidate profile
- Approximately 2–3 years’ PQE
- Strong leveraged finance and/or corporate debt experience
- Experience in syndicated lending, secured transactions or other commercial finance matters
- Familiarity with private equity-sponsored and non-sponsored financings
- Experience with debt capital markets instruments would be advantageous
- Excellent drafting, analytical and transaction-management skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Admitted to practise in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligible to become admitted
