A leading international law firm is looking for a Technology Transactions Associate to join its growing Boston office. This is an opportunity to join a strategically important and rapidly expanding practice at an exciting stage of its development.

The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of technology-focused matters, including:
  • Complex commercial agreements
  • Technology licensing and collaboration agreements
  • Strategic alliances and joint ventures
  • Data, privacy and intellectual property matters
  • Artificial intelligence counselling and regulatory considerations
  • Technology support on M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions
The team is particularly active in advising businesses navigating AI adoption and transformation, as well as supporting technology-driven acquisitions and investments.
Unlike many technology transactions roles, this position is not focused primarily on M&A diligence or representations and warranties work. Instead, it offers substantial exposure to standalone technology transactions and strategic advisory matters.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Join a growing practice that is receiving significant investment from the firm.
  • Work directly with highly regarded partners from day one.
  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge technology, AI and intellectual property matters.
  • Advise on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions.
  • Enjoy client contact and responsibility at an early stage of your career.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, client presentations and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Be part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial and team-oriented culture.
  • Benefit from a less crowded progression structure with strong long-term career prospects.
About You
  • Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years’ PQE
  • Strong experience in technology transactions, commercial contracts and intellectual property matters.
  • Experience advising on licensing, collaboration, data, technology and AI-related issues.
  • Exposure to supporting corporate, private equity or capital markets transactions is advantageous.
  • Candidates with a broader technology transactions practice are preferred.
  • Experience spanning both technology and life sciences matters will be considered, although a purely life sciences licensing background may be less suitable.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious associate seeking sophisticated technology transactions work, direct partner mentorship and the chance to help build a growing practice within a leading global platform.
