
Overview
An elite US law firm is seeking two Investment Funds & Private Capital Associates to join its London credit funds practice. The team focuses specifically on credit funds work, advising sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on fund formation, structuring and ongoing operations across credit-focused investment strategies.
This opportunity includes two separate hires: a junior associate (1–3 years’ PQE) and a mid–senior associate (4+ years’ PQE, flexible depending on candidate strength). Both roles sit within a high-growth, busy team offering strong exposure to sophisticated credit funds work within a leading global platform.
What You’ll Do
• Advise sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on credit fund formation and structuring.
• Support the establishment and ongoing operation of credit funds and private capital structures.
• Draft and negotiate fund documentation including LPAs, side letters and investment management agreements.
• Work on co-investment structures, fund launches and regulatory considerations.
• Assist on ongoing fund maintenance and investor negotiations.
• Support cross-border fund structuring alongside US teams.

About You
• Experience in investment funds, private capital or credit funds work.
• Strong background in private practice at a recognised London law firm.
• Exposure to fund formation or advisory work for institutional clients.
• Strong drafting skills and commercial understanding of fund structures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong technical ability and attention to detail.
Preferred experience:
• Experience in credit funds (strong preference).
• Exposure to institutional investor-side fund work.
• Experience at a top-tier or well-regarded funds practice in London.
• England & Wales qualification preferred (flexibility where appropriate).
Candidate requirements:
• Must be currently in private practice (no in-house candidates considered).
• Must be based in London.
• Offshore candidates will not be considered.

Salary & Benefits
