Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a junior Structured Finance / Derivatives Associate to join its London finance practice. The team advises financial institutions and market participants on complex structured finance, securitisation and derivatives matters across a wide range of transactions.

This opportunity is particularly well suited to an NQ–2 PQE associate looking to develop their expertise within a collaborative team environment, working closely with senior lawyers on technically sophisticated financing structures.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on structured finance, derivatives and securitisation transactions.
• Assist with the drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation and related finance agreements.
• Support complex financing structures and capital markets transactions.
• Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on cross-border matters.
• Develop technical expertise in derivatives and structured finance products.

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor (or due to qualify).
• NQ–2 years’ PQE with some private practice experience.
• Exposure to derivatives, structured finance or securitisation through training or post-qualification experience.
• Strong academic background and solid technical skills.
• Commercially minded and motivated to develop within a specialist finance practice.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work within a fast-paced transactional environment.

Salary & Bonus

• Competitive salary (NQ reference salary approximately £135,000).
• Performance-related bonus starting from approximately 1,600 hours.
• Potential for significant bonus increases based on productivity.
• Performance review benchmark around 1,400 hours annually.
