Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Structured Finance / Derivatives Associate to join its London Capital Markets practice. The team advises on a broad range of UK and international transactions, including structured finance, cash and synthetic securitisations, derivatives, repackagings and structured products.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate to join a growing team with strong international reach, advising leading financial institutions, asset managers and corporates on complex cross-border financing transactions.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in advising clients on securitised derivatives and synthetic securitisation transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation under the supervision of senior lawyers.
• Support structured finance transactions including repackagings and structured products.
• Conduct legal research and due diligence on complex financing matters.
• Liaise directly with clients, counterparties and advisers to support transaction execution.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and business development initiatives within the team.

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common law qualification).
• NQ–3 years’ PQE with experience in structured finance, securitisation, derivatives or debt capital markets.
• Background gained at a recognised international law firm or relevant in-house legal team.
• Experience with securitised derivatives or synthetic securitisation is advantageous.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent drafting skills.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication abilities.
