
Overview
A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior M&A / Private Equity Associate to join its Abu Dhabi corporate team. The practice advises sovereign investors, multinational corporates and private equity sponsors on complex regional and cross-border transactions.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a high-performing associate with strong transactional experience who is looking to take on significant responsibility within a growing Middle East platform.
What You’ll Do
• Advise clients on public and private M&A transactions across the Middle East and internationally.
• Support private equity sponsors on acquisitions, investments and portfolio transactions.
• Draft and negotiate key transaction documentation including share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements and joint venture agreements.
• Manage due diligence and coordinate multi-jurisdictional deal teams.
• Work closely with partners and international offices on complex cross-border mandates.
• Develop relationships with high-profile regional clients including sovereign investors and family groups.
About You
• 5+ years’ PQE with strong M&A or private equity experience.
• Background gained at a Magic Circle, elite US firm or comparable international practice.
• Strong experience advising on complex corporate transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Commercially minded with strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Candidates qualified in London, the US or other recognised jurisdictions are encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
• $200,000 – $220,000 salary for senior associates (depending on PQE).
• Discretionary bonus based on performance and billable hours.
• Target hours typically around 1,700 annually.
• Relocation support including financial assistance and temporary accommodation.
• Annual return flight to home country after the first year.
