Real Estate Finance Associate

Overview

An international law firm with a strong real estate practice is seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Associate for its London office. The position offers hands-on involvement in a varied pipeline of domestic and cross-border real estate finance transactions, advising lenders, sponsors, and investors on complex, high-value deals.

This role is ideal for an associate with 3–6 years’ PQE who is looking to build their profile within a respected real estate finance team, gaining exposure to sophisticated work in a supportive and commercially focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on a wide range of real estate finance transactions, acting for lenders, borrowers and investors.
• Support clients on acquisition, development and investment financings across commercial and mixed-use assets.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex real estate finance documentation, including facilities agreements, security packages and intercreditor arrangements.
• Advise on refinancing, restructurings and portfolio financings.
• Work closely with colleagues across real estate, banking, restructuring, tax and corporate teams to deliver integrated advice.
• Manage transaction processes from initial structuring through to completion.
• Assist with business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor.
• 3–6 PQE with experience in real estate finance gained at a leading UK or international law firm.
• Strong academic background from a reputable institution.
• Solid technical skills with experience handling complex real estate finance documentation.
• Commercial and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage matters with increasing autonomy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
