
Overview
A leading national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Counsel to join its Real Estate practice across multiple U.S. offices, including Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Dallas, Houston, and Washington, D.C.
The successful candidate will advise clients on a broad range of real estate matters, including due diligence, title, survey, zoning issues, and drafting and negotiating leases across various asset classes. This role provides an opportunity to handle sophisticated transactions while working closely with senior attorneys and clients in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
This position is particularly well suited to a 7+ year attorney with extensive real estate experience looking for a senior role in a leading national platform.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct real estate due diligence, including title, survey, and zoning analysis.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases, purchase agreements, and related transactional documents.
• Advise clients across various real estate asset classes, including commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
• Collaborate with partners and other practice groups on complex real estate transactions.
• Provide strategic guidance on risk management and compliance matters in real estate deals.
About You
• J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 7+ years of real estate transactional experience at a law firm or equivalent professional environment.
• Experience in real estate due diligence, leasing, and transaction structuring.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex real estate matters.
