Overview
A leading national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its expanding Real Estate practice across major West Coast offices, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, and Salt Lake City. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions within a highly regarded and collaborative practice.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to a 2–5 year associate looking to gain hands-on experience across complex real estate matters while developing their practice within a supportive and collegial team environment.
What You’ll Do
• Advise clients on a variety of commercial real estate transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate real estate purchase agreements, lease agreements, and financing documentation.
• Support transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and commercial leasing.
• Represent borrowers and lenders in real estate financing transactions.
• Work collaboratively with partners and colleagues across the firm’s national real estate platform.
• Assist in managing transactions from initial structuring through closing.
About You
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 2–5 years of transactional real estate experience gained at a law firm or similar professional environment.
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, and real estate financing matters.
• Exposure to borrower and lender representation in financing transactions is preferred.
• Common interest community experience is considered a plus.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice.
