
Overview
A leading US law firm is seeking a Public M&A Associate to join its London Corporate practice. The team advises on high-profile public and private M&A transactions, including takeovers, carve-outs, spin-offs, joint ventures and equity capital markets matters across the UK and Europe.
With a significant pipeline of live mandates and continued strategic growth, this is an exceptional opportunity for a 2021–2022 qualified associate to join a market-leading Public M&A platform handling complex, high-value cross-border transactions.
What You’ll Do
• Advise on UK and European public M&A transactions, including recommended and hostile takeovers.
• Support equity capital markets transactions, including IPOs and secondary fundraisings.
• Work on corporate restructurings, carve-outs and strategic joint ventures.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documentation and coordinate cross-border deal execution.
• Collaborate with tax, antitrust, regulatory and finance teams to deliver fully integrated transaction support.
• Engage directly with listed corporates, financial institutions and private equity clients.
.About You
• England & Wales qualified solicitor (2021–2022 qualification preferred).
• Experience gained at a leading US or Magic Circle firm (strong top-tier background essential).
• Demonstrable experience in public M&A and UK-listed company transactions.
• Strong academic credentials and technical excellence.
• Commercially minded, confident and able to clearly articulate deal experience.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
