A highly regarded international law firm is seeking Energy & Infrastructure Associates to join its market-leading Energy and Infrastructure practice across one of its U.S.-based offices. The group advises clients on some of the most significant and innovative energy and infrastructure projects globally, supported by a deeply integrated, collaborative team with extensive cross-border capabilities.
The practice brings together lawyers across project finance, tax equity, and M&A, offering associates the opportunity to work on cutting-edge transactions spanning renewable energy, infrastructure development, and complex financing structures. Associates are part of a large, dedicated platform that provides both scale and depth of expertise in this space.
About the Role
As an Energy & Infrastructure Associate, you will advise clients on a broad range of project finance, tax equity, and M&A transactions within the energy and infrastructure sector. You will work closely with experienced partners and multidisciplinary teams, supporting complex transactions from early-stage structuring through execution and closing.
This role is well suited for an associate with at least 3 years of relevant experience who is looking to deepen sector-specific expertise while taking on increasing responsibility in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
What You’ll Do
• Advise sponsors, developers, lenders, and investors on energy and infrastructure project finance transactions
• Support tax equity financings, including structuring, diligence, and documentation
• Assist on M&A transactions involving energy and infrastructure assets and platforms
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and related ancillary agreements
• Support transaction execution from structuring through signing and closing
• Collaborate with colleagues across finance, M&A, tax, and regulatory teams on integrated matters
• Provide practical, commercial legal advice on complex and time-sensitive transactions
About You
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
• 3–9+ years of relevant experience in energy and infrastructure project finance, tax equity, and/or M&A
• Admission to practice law in the state of the office in which the associate will be based
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills
• Highly motivated with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
