An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mid-level associate to join the private funds practice of a highly regarded US law firm in the Bay Area.
The successful candidate will focus on representing investors in venture capital investments involving emerging and high-growth companies. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions alongside an experienced team advising leading market participants.
The role
- Advise investors on venture capital financings involving emerging companies
- Draft, review and negotiate investment and transaction documents
- Manage due diligence and coordinate key stages of the investment process
- Work closely with clients, partners and colleagues across related practice areas
- Support investors on matters involving private investment funds
- Take increasing responsibility for transactions and client relationships
Candidate profile
- Approximately 3–5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience
- Significant experience in venture capital investment financings
- Experience acting for investors or representing emerging companies
- Experience representing investors in private investment funds would be advantageous
- Strong drafting, analytical and transaction-management skills
- Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
