Our Client is seeking a Payroll Coordinator who is responsible for administering time, attendance, and payroll systems for all employees, excluding partners. This position ensures accurate and timely payroll processing while providing responsive service to employees and internal stakeholders. This is a hybrid role.
Key responsibilities include maintaining payroll records, administering payroll-related data, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations, and producing reports to support business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately process payroll through UKG Ready for legal and business professionals while maintaining complete and accurate payroll records.
  • Administer payroll system data related to benefits, leaves of absence, terminations, 401(k) and FSA deductions, and wage garnishments.
  • Partner with Human Resources to process payroll updates associated with benefits and leaves of absence.
  • Perform state and federal payroll tax reconciliations and assist with payroll audits.
  • Maintain organized and current payroll documentation and reporting, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding paid time off, flexible time off, payroll, and time-tracking questions.
  • Review time and attendance entries in UKG Ready, identify and resolve discrepancies, and coordinate necessary updates.
  • Organize and prioritize assignments while collaborating across departments to meet deadlines and service standards.
  • Remain current on payroll regulations, industry practices, and developments affecting payroll administration.
  • Exercise sound judgment and identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of payroll experience within a professional services environment; law firm experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with UKG Ready payroll, time and attendance, and HRIS functions is required.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility to work additional hours when necessary to meet payroll deadlines and business demands.
