Marketing & BD Manager (Sports & Media)

Our client, a prestigious global Am Law firm with a powerful international platform and deep industry expertise, is seeking an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to lead its global Sports, Media & Entertainment (SM&E) Sector.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a strategic M&BD professional who can connect the dots across global practices, key clients, and industry initiatives while partnering closely with senior lawyers and firm leadership.

This role will be hybrid in NYC, D.C., or Denver.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the M&BD lead for the global SM&E sector and help drive its global business plan and growth strategy
• Lead a global team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns, profile-raising initiatives, thought leadership, and client communications
• Lead high-profile client events, conferences, sponsorships, seminars, and industry initiatives
• Drive client development and account management, including client feedback and financial analysis
• Own pitch strategy, RFPs, proposals, targeting initiatives, and business generation
• partner with PR, lawyers, sector leadership, and global M&BD teams to strengthen the firm’s market position
• Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and M&BD capabilities across the global organization

Ideal Background:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Marketing, Communications, or related degree preferred
• 5+ years of relevant M&BD experience, ideally within a leading law firm or professional services environment
• Experience or knowledge within Sports, Media, and/or Entertainment required
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
• Exceptional project management, communication, writing, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to operate effectively across global, cross-functional teams
