Junior Transactional Associate

Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a junior transactional associate to join a growing London team. This is a newly created role, offering an excellent opportunity for an NQ-2 PQE lawyer to join a lean practice with strong partner access, high-quality work and genuine early responsibility.

The team is particularly interested in candidates with strong technical foundations and experience gained in a Magic Circle, elite US or leading international law firm environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support partners and senior lawyers on high-quality transactional matters.
• Take on meaningful responsibility from an early stage within a lean team structure.
• Work closely with partners and clients across complex domestic and cross-border mandates.
• Draft, review and negotiate key transaction documents.
• Manage workstreams, coordinate with wider deal teams and contribute to smooth transaction execution.
• Build strong relationships across the practice and wider firm.

About You

• NQ-2 PQE, with no flexibility beyond this level.
• Strong transactional experience from a Magic Circle, elite US or leading international law firm.
• Common law qualified, or able to demonstrate closely relevant experience.
• Excellent technical skills and a strong academic and professional foundation.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
• Collaborative, personable and keen to contribute to a growing team.
• Private practice experience is required.
