Overview

A leading US law firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its London team. The practice advises financial institutions, sponsors and corporate borrowers on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an associate with 2–5 years’ PQE to join a growing team with strong deal flow, working closely with partners on sophisticated financing matters within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on a range of financing transactions, including acquisition finance and broader banking matters.
• Draft and negotiate finance documentation such as facilities agreements, security documentation and intercreditor agreements.
• Support cross-border transactions involving sponsors, lenders and corporates.
• Work closely with corporate and restructuring teams on multi-disciplinary deals.
• Manage transaction workstreams while building direct relationships with clients.

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common law qualification).
• 2–5 years’ PQE gained at a leading US, Magic Circle or top international finance practice.
• Strong technical grounding in banking and finance transactions.
• Experience handling complex finance documentation and deal processes.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Motivated to develop within a collaborative and fast-paced practice.

Salary & Bonus

• Competitive US market-aligned compensation (NQ reference salary approximately £165,000).
• Salary progression aligned with PQE level (indicative range £191,000–£266,500).
• Performance-related bonus structure with enhanced bonus potential linked to productivity.
• Typical utilisation expectations around 1,800 hours annually.
