
Overview
A leading international law firm is looking for a Energy & Infrastructure Senior Associate to join its Middle East projects practice. The team advises sponsors, lenders and public sector clients on complex project development and delivery across the region.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced projects lawyer with 4–7 years’ PQE who is looking to work on high-profile infrastructure and energy projects across the Middle East, with exposure to sophisticated cross-border mandates and strong partner interaction.
What You’ll Do
• Advise on all aspects of project development and delivery across major infrastructure and energy projects.
• Draft and negotiate key project documentation including concession agreements, EPC contracts, O&M agreements and interface agreements.
• Conduct risk analysis and due diligence on project transactions.
• Support project execution and coordinate with technical, financial and advisory teams.
• Work closely with project finance teams on transactions involving project financing structures.
• Advise sponsors, lenders and government authorities across a range of sectors.
Key sectors include:
• Conventional and renewable power
• Desalination and wastewater
• Transport infrastructure
• Social infrastructure projects
About You
• 4–7 years’ PQE gained at a recognised international law firm.
• Strong experience advising on energy, infrastructure, utilities or PPP projects.
• Proven experience working on projects in the Middle East.
• Strong drafting skills with the ability to handle first-pass documentation.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and coordinating complex transactions.
• Commercially minded with strong client communication skills.
Preferred experience:
• Familiarity with FIDIC-based documentation.
• Experience with project finance structures.
• Exposure to government procurement processes and regional infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with technical and financial advisers.
