Overview

A leading US law firm is seeking a Corporate Insurance / Capital Markets Associate to join its market-leading London practice. The team advises on complex, high-value and cross-border transactions across the insurance sector, including capital markets transactions, insurance-linked securities and strategic corporate matters.

This opportunity is ideal for a 2–5 PQE associate looking to develop within a globally recognised practice, offering significant partner exposure, early responsibility and involvement in sophisticated transactions across UK, US and European markets.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on capital markets transactions within the insurance sector, including equity capital markets and debt capital markets matters.
• Work on insurance-linked securities and insurance securitisation transactions.
• Support equity listings and high yield debt transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation across corporate and capital markets matters.
• Collaborate with international teams on cross-border mandates involving insurers, reinsurers, brokers and financial institutions.
• Build strong client relationships through direct involvement in transactions and strategic advisory work.

.About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor.
• 2–5 years’ PQE gained at a leading US, Magic Circle or top-tier international firm.
• Strong experience in capital markets transactions, including ECM and DCM work.
• Exposure to insurance-linked securities or insurance-related transactions is highly advantageous.
• Strong academic background and excellent technical skills.
• Commercially minded with strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Motivated to develop within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
