A leading global law firm is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its Office of the General Counsel team. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing standard conflicts reports regarding incoming attorneys and new client business, as well as reviewing new business and lateral conflicts checks, including advisory matters, NDAs, transactional checks, and others.

This position may be based in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, or Washington, D.C. and may be eligible for a flexible hybrid working schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze standard conflicts reports related to incoming attorneys, new clients, and new business matters
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding conflict check results, missing information, and requirements for conflicts reviews
  • Update information within conflicts databases and conduct corporate research using internal and external resources to verify accuracy
  • Obtain guidance from attorneys and Conflicts team members to properly evaluate lateral candidates, potential clients, potential adverse parties, and other conflicts checks
  • Conduct research regarding corporate entities subject to conflicts review using electronic databases, internet resources, and print sources
  • Analyze and respond to attorneys regarding potential or actual conflicts
  • Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will:
  • Demonstrate an advanced ability to identify and analyze problems and develop alternative strategies to resolve them
  • Possess strong professional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with attorneys, management, support staff, and outside contacts
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated work experience involving professional interpersonal skills, problem solving, managing multiple projects, and working independently
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience within a law firm or other professional services environment preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Intapp Open preferred
