Competition Litigation Senior Associate

Overview

A leading US law firm is seeking a senior Competition Litigation Associate to join its growing London disputes team. The role sits within a highly regarded contentious competition practice handling complex, high-value and often market-defining mandates.

This is a selective search for a senior associate who can operate confidently within a lean, fast-paced litigation platform. The successful candidate will gain significant partner exposure, early responsibility and the opportunity to play a visible role in the continued growth of a market-leading team.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on complex contentious competition and antitrust litigation.
• Work on cartel damages claims, follow-on litigation, collective actions and abuse of dominance disputes.
• Support behavioural investigations and wider contentious antitrust matters.
• Take responsibility for running workstreams and managing litigation strategy.
• Supervise junior associates within a lean team structure.
• Work closely with senior partners on high-profile disputes and strategic mandates.

About You

• Ideally 6-7 PQE, with flexibility for exceptional candidates slightly above this range.
• Strong competition litigation experience gained at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, elite US or comparable disputes platform.
• Genuine contentious competition background, rather than purely advisory or merger control experience.
• Strong technical litigation grounding, excellent academics and sound commercial judgement.
• Able to manage matters, supervise juniors and operate independently.
• Commercial litigation candidates may be considered where they have meaningful competition litigation exposure.
• London market experience is strongly preferred, although exceptional overseas-qualified candidates may be considered.
