Associate – Private Funds (Fund Formation)

One of the world’s leading international law firms is seeking an Associate with 2–7 years’ experience to join its market-leading Private Funds practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to advise leading private equity sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on the formation and structuring of private investment funds, working on sophisticated domestic and cross-border matters alongside recognised leaders in the market.

The Role

You will advise clients on all aspects of private fund formation, including:

• Structuring and forming private investment funds
• Drafting and negotiating fund formation documents
• Advising on fund governance and regulatory matters
• Supporting fundraisings and investor negotiations
• Working closely with colleagues across corporate, tax and finance practices

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• 2–7 years’ experience in private funds or fund formation at a leading law firm
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating fund documentation
• Excellent technical, commercial and communication skills
• Admission to the relevant state bar, or eligibility to waive in
