A nationally recognised U.S. law firm is seeking a Corporate Transactions Associate with 3–7 years’ experience to join its growing Healthcare Corporate team in Atlanta or Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for an M&A attorney looking to develop a sector focus within healthcare. Prior healthcare experience is not required; the firm welcomes candidates with strong general M&A or corporate transactions experience who are interested in advising healthcare clients on sophisticated transactions.

The Role

You will advise clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on healthcare-related matters. The work will include:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Private company transactions
  • Corporate restructurings
  • Joint ventures and strategic partnerships
  • Commercial and corporate agreements
  • Transactional support for healthcare providers, investors and operating companies
  • Due diligence, drafting and deal execution

Although the majority of work will involve healthcare clients, this is fundamentally a corporate transactions role, making it well suited to attorneys with strong M&A experience who are looking to broaden their sector exposure.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3–7 years’ experience in M&A, corporate transactions or general corporate work
  • Experience gained at a respected law firm
  • Strong drafting, due diligence and transaction management skills
  • The ability to manage key aspects of deals with increasing independence
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • A genuine interest in working with healthcare clients
  • Admission to practice in Georgia or Illinois, or eligibility to waive in

Healthcare deal experience is welcomed but not required.

Why Join This Firm?

Join a nationally recognised U.S. law firm with a strong healthcare corporate platform and a growing pipeline of transactional work. This is a strong opportunity for a corporate associate to build a valuable sector specialism while continuing to work on sophisticated M&A and corporate matters.

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits
  • Opportunity to work on healthcare-focused M&A and corporate transactions
  • Strong platform for mid-level and senior associates seeking increased responsibility
  • Collaborative team culture with partner access and mentorship
