Associate (1–6 PQE) – Project Finance (Development & Finance)

Overview
An international law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate (1–6 years’ PQE) to join its Dubai office, focusing on project finance matters. The team advises on both project development and financing, and candidates with experience in either or both areas are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile regional and cross-border energy and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on project finance transactions, including both development and financing aspects
• Support on complex, cross-border energy and infrastructure projects
• Draft and negotiate financing and project documentation
• Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction execution
• Collaborate with international teams and clients across multiple jurisdictions

Candidate Profile

• 1–6 years’ PQE with relevant experience in project finance
• Experience in either project development or project finance (or both) welcomed
• Strong preference for candidates currently in private practice
• Regional experience beneficial but not essential
• Open to candidates willing to relocate to Dubai

Working Conditions & Culture

• Billable hours target: approximately 1,800–1,900 annually
• Hybrid working model:
  • Typically around 2 days per week working from home
  • Flexibility is key and dependent on deal flow
  • Busier periods may require more in-office presence, while quieter periods allow increased remote working
• Emphasis on a flexible, pragmatic approach rather than rigid policies

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: £100,000 – £140,000 (tax-free environment)
