James Lavan, executive director at the recruitment firm Buchanan Law, told Law.com International that Saudi nationals who practised abroad in places like Dubai, the U.K., or New York are now showing an increased interest in returning home, and law firms are focusing on hiring top-tier Saudi talent due to the high demand and competitive market.
“While law firms don’t offer higher salaries to Saudi nationals than non-Saudi, I think what they are probably using to attract these individuals is the progression, the opportunity to have access to top-tier global work, the ability to help build a practice, and all the benefits that come with building a practice around that,” he said.
