Corporate M&A Associate

A reputable international law firm is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate to join its Dubai team. This opportunity would suit a common law qualified lawyer looking to build a long-term career in the region.

The role

You will work across a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and corporate reorganisations, working closely with the partners leading the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on corporate transactions from initial structuring through to completion.
• Drafting and negotiating transaction documents, joint venture agreements and shareholder agreements.
• Supporting clients on corporate reorganisations and related advisory matters.
• Managing transaction workstreams and coordinating with colleagues and other advisers.
• Maintaining clear communication with clients throughout each matter.

About you

The firm is looking for a lawyer with:

• 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate M&A.
• A common law qualification from the UK, US or Australia.
• Experience across corporate transactions and advisory work.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.
• A clear commitment to living and working in the region over the long term.

Remuneration and progression

The salary range is £115k–£130k per annum, with flexibility depending on experience and suitability.

There is scope for senior associates to progress to Counsel based on performance, with partners supportive of promotion for strong performers.

The firm is looking to appoint promptly. The recruitment process is expected to involve two interview stages, followed by an offer meeting for the successful candidate.
