The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its team in New York, Boston or Chicago.

The successful candidate will join a sophisticated real estate practice advising investors, private equity sponsors, developers, lenders and other institutional clients on complex commercial real estate transactions across the United States.

The role offers broad transactional exposure, direct client contact and the opportunity to work alongside experienced partners on significant real estate investments and developments.

The Role

The role will include:

• Acquisitions and disposals
• Joint ventures
• Real estate private equity investments
• Development transactions
• Commercial leasing
• Real estate financings
• Portfolio transactions
• Recapitalisations and restructurings
• Complex domestic and cross-border investments

Associates will be involved throughout the lifecycle of transactions, from initial structuring and due diligence through documentation, negotiation and closing.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings or development matters
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
• Admission to the relevant state Bar or eligibility to become admitted
