Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity

One of the world’s leading international law firms is looking for a talented 2nd–5th year Associate to join its growing Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice in Salt Lake City.

The Role

You will advise private equity sponsors, public and private companies, investors and strategic buyers on a broad range of corporate transactions, including:

• Public and private mergers and acquisitions
• Private equity acquisitions and exits
• Growth equity and strategic investments
• Joint ventures and corporate restructurings
• Corporate governance and general corporate matters
• Cross-border transactions and complex deal execution

You will take an active role throughout the entire transaction lifecycle, from due diligence and drafting through to negotiation, signing and closing, working directly with partners and clients on market-leading matters.

What You’ll Bring

The successful candidate will have:

• 2–5 years’ post-qualification equivalent experience in M&A and/or private equity transactions
• Experience gained at a leading national or international law firm
• Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• The ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative approach and strong commercial judgement

• Base salary: $260k–$365k, depending on class year and experience
