Overview
A leading international law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Of Counsel to join their Real Estate / Joint Venture practice. This role focuses on advising clients on complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects across asset classes.
What You’ll Do
• Structure, draft, and negotiate real estate joint venture agreements and related documentation
• Represent sponsors, developers, and institutional investors in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
• Advise on the formation and governance of joint venture entities
• Lead transaction execution, including due diligence, closing processes, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide strategic counsel on risk allocation, capital structuring, and investment strategies
• Work closely with tax, finance, and regulatory teams on multi-disciplinary matters
About You
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (or eligibility to waive in)
• 6+ years of experience in real estate transactions, with a focus on joint ventures
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and work independently
• Excellent client management and communication skills
• Experience representing institutional investors, private equity real estate funds, or developers
• Familiarity with a variety of asset classes (e.g., commercial, residential, mixed-use, industrial)
• Background at a top-tier law firm or relevant in-house experience
