
Overview
A leading national law firm is seeking a highly qualified Tax Associate to join its Tax Practice Group across multiple offices, including Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
The successful candidate will work on a range of complex federal tax matters, advising clients on entity formation, transaction structuring and M&A-related tax issues within a collaborative and growing national practice.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to a 2+ year associate with strong tax experience gained in a major accounting firm or law firm environment who is looking to develop their career within a sophisticated and dynamic platform.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct research and analysis on complex federal tax issues.
• Advise clients on entity formation, transaction structuring and tax considerations in mergers and acquisitions.
• Assist with the tax aspects of corporate transactions and strategic structuring matters.
• Draft memoranda and provide technical tax analysis for clients and internal teams.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys across corporate, M&A and other transactional practice groups.
• Support client service initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s national tax practice.
About You
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 2+ years of tax experience gained in a major accounting firm or law firm.
• Experience researching and assessing complex federal tax issues.
• Exposure to entity formation, deal structuring and M&A transactions.
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
• Excellent writing, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex subject matter in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with the ambition and drive to contribute to the growth of a national practice.

• Base salary range: $220,000 – $320,000 depending on experience.
