Overview

A leading global law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Associate into its highly regarded Debt Finance practice in Boston. The team advises on a wide spectrum of financing transactions, representing private equity sponsors, lenders, and corporate borrowers on complex, often cross-border financings.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of debt finance transactions, including leveraged finance, acquisition finance, syndicated lending, direct lending, and restructuring/refinancing matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents, and ancillary finance documentation
• Support leveraged buyouts and acquisition financings in collaboration with M&A and private equity teams
• Manage transaction processes from structuring through execution and closing
• Coordinate with local counsel and cross-border teams on multi-jurisdictional transactions
• Provide commercially focused advice on financing structures, terms, and risk allocation
• For more senior associates, take responsibility for deal management and mentoring junior team members

Key Requirements

• JD from a top-tier law school and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction (New York or Massachusetts preferred)
• 3–6 years of experience in a leading finance practice
• Strong experience in leveraged and/or sponsor-side finance
• Familiarity with US credit documentation and market standards (e.g., LSTA)
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Strong academic credentials
