Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate Insurance Associate to join its London practice. The team advises almost exclusively on complex insurance-sector transactions across Europe, including public and private M&A, portfolio acquisitions and regulatory-driven restructurings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to join a well-established team working on sophisticated insurance transactions and cross-border matters within a highly specialised sector-focused practice.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on corporate transactions within the insurance sector, including public and private M&A.
• Support complex cross-border insurance transactions across European jurisdictions.
• Work on portfolio acquisitions, renewal rights transactions and reinsurance arrangements.
• Assist with Part VII transfers and other regulatory-driven restructuring transactions.
• Conduct transaction due diligence and advise on regulatory considerations within insurance deals.
• Provide corporate governance and capital markets advice to insurers and boards.

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor.
• 1–4 years’ PQE with experience in corporate, insurance or financial services transactions.
• Experience gained at a recognised City or international law firm.
• Interest in insurance-sector transactions and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong technical ability, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Motivated to develop within a collaborative and specialised practice.

Salary & Bonus

• Competitive compensation aligned with leading international firms (NQ reference salary approximately £140,000).
• Performance-related bonus structure.
• Target billable hours of approximately 1,700 annually.
