Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Structured Finance / Derivatives Associate to join its London Capital Markets practice. The team advises financial institutions and market participants on complex structured finance, derivatives and capital markets transactions across domestic and cross-border mandates.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to join an established practice working on sophisticated structured products, securitisation and derivatives matters within a collaborative international platform.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on structured finance and derivatives transactions across a range of financial products.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of structured products programmes.
• Assist with securitised derivatives and hedging arrangements in structured finance transactions.
• Draft and review transaction documentation relating to securitisation, derivatives and structured products.
• Advise on structured repo and securities lending arrangements.
• Provide regulatory advice relating to capital markets and structured finance transactions.

About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common law qualification).
• 1–4 years’ PQE with experience in structured finance, derivatives, securitisation or debt capital markets.
• Experience gained at a recognised City or international law firm.
• Strong technical skills and interest in complex financial products.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Motivated to develop within a collaborative and internationally integrated practice.

Salary & Bonus

• Competitive compensation aligned with leading international firms (NQ reference salary approximately £140,000).
• Performance-related bonus structure.
• Target billable hours of approximately 1,700 annually.
