Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Planning Associate to join its highly regarded London planning practice. The team is widely recognised for its work on complex development and infrastructure projects, advising on high-profile matters across the private sector.

This is an expansion hire within a top-tier planning practice and presents an excellent opportunity for a 3–5 PQE associate looking to develop their expertise within a market-leading environment known for high-quality work and strong collaboration with real estate and infrastructure teams.

What You’ll Do

• Advise private sector clients on planning aspects of major development and infrastructure projects.
• Support large-scale real estate transactions, providing planning expertise throughout the lifecycle of projects.
• Draft and negotiate planning agreements and provide strategic planning advice.
• Work closely with real estate, construction and infrastructure teams on multi-disciplinary matters.
• Assist clients with navigating regulatory frameworks and planning strategy.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.

.About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor.
• Ideally 3 PQE, with flexibility for candidates between 3–5 PQE.
• Strong planning experience gained in private practice (local authority-only backgrounds not suitable).
• Experience advising on development and/or infrastructure matters.
• Strong academic background and excellent technical skills.
• Commercially aware with strong communication and organisational skills.
