Leveraged Finance Associate

Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a high-calibre Leveraged Finance Associate to join its London team. The successful candidate will advise on complex sponsor-led financings across domestic and cross-border transactions within a well-established and highly regarded practice.

This opportunity is particularly well suited to a 3–5 PQE associate looking to join a strong platform offering high-quality work, competitive compensation and clear long-term progression prospects.

What You’ll Do

• Advise sponsors, private equity funds and financial institutions on leveraged acquisition financings and related transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate facilities agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documentation and ancillary finance documents.
• Support transactions from structuring through to signing and closing.
• Work collaboratively across a range of partners and practice areas.
• Liaise with tax, restructuring, private equity and capital markets teams on multi-disciplinary matters.
• Contribute to client relationship development and business development initiatives.

.About You

• England & Wales qualified solicitor (other common law jurisdictions considered).
• 3–5 years’ PQE (2 PQE minimum) gained at a leading leveraged finance practice.
• Sponsor-side experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills and experience handling complex leveraged finance documentation.
• Commercially minded with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced transactional environment.
