
Overview
An established international law firm is expanding its London employment practice and is looking to appoint a skilled Employment Associate. The role involves advising on a diverse mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with direct exposure to complex, high-profile work alongside senior partners and key clients.
This position would suit an associate with 3–6 years’ PQE who is keen to build their expertise within a well-regarded employment team, recognised for its technical strength, commercial insight, and long-standing client relationships.
What You’ll Do
• Advise clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including both contentious and non-contentious work.
• Provide strategic advice on employment aspects of corporate transactions, restructurings and workforce change projects.
• Handle employment litigation, including Employment Tribunal and High Court matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements and related documentation.
• Support clients on day-to-day HR and employment advisory matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, finance and dispute resolution teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Assist with business development initiatives, including client training, pitches and thought leadership.
About You
• England & Wales qualified solicitor.
• 3–6 years’ PQE with experience in employment law gained at a leading UK or international law firm.
• Strong academic background from a reputable institution.
• Excellent technical knowledge of UK employment law and employment litigation.
• Commercially focused, with the ability to provide practical and strategic advice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing directly with clients.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
