Specialist international legal recruitment firm Buchanan Law is pleased to announce the launch of its Miami office. Buchanan Law specialises in placing top legal talent in large full-service firms, smaller specialist firms, and in-house at major corporates. These appointments cover the whole talent pipeline, from newly qualified lawyers to seasoned partners at the top of their field.
The London-based firm’s second office will be headed by Thomas Hanlon, director and head of Buchanan’s US practice. CEO James Baker is also relocating to Miami as the firm sees significant growth across the US market. Thomas and James are joined by senior consultants Ciro Di Stefano and Emily Smith, with the firm’s 2024 extensive hiring plans for US based associates being a priority following the launch.
Miami is fast becoming the principal hub for the US east coast legal industry, with many of the largest firms expanding into the city over recent years. Where Miami was once primarily a go-between for US and Latin America deals, the technology and private equity sectors have since boomed, attracting a flood of capital.
