OGC Counsel – Compliance & Intake

Overview
Our client, a prestigious, top-tier global AmLaw firm, is seeking an OGC Counsel – Compliance & Intake to join its Office of the General Counsel. This role focuses on firmwide compliance, client onboarding, and risk management processes, working closely with partners and operational teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Advise on client intake, onboarding processes, and compliance-related matters.
• Review and approve new business requests, ensuring adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review, and maintain firm policies, codes of conduct, and compliance frameworks.
• Partner with Client Intake Committees and internal stakeholders across offices.
• Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks in client engagements.
• Support training initiatives and provide guidance to junior staff and internal teams.

Qualifications
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 3+ years’ experience in compliance, risk management, or intake within a law firm or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and law firm operations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex workflows and advise across multiple offices.
