M&A Associate (September NQ Intake)

Overview

A leading US law firm is seeking a September NQ Associate to join its London M&A practice. The team advises on high-profile public and private M&A transactions, equity capital markets matters and complex cross-border deals across Europe.

This is a highly selective opportunity to join a high-performing and fast-paced platform at entry level, with early exposure across Private Equity, Private M&A and Public M&A before specialising.

What You’ll Do

• Advise on UK and European public and private M&A transactions.
• Support Private Equity sponsors on acquisitions, disposals and investment structures.
• Assist on equity capital markets matters, including IPOs and secondary fundraisings.
• Draft and review transaction documentation, working closely with senior associates and partners.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, regulatory and antitrust teams on complex cross-border mandates.
• Develop broad transactional experience before selecting a long-term specialism in either Private Equity or Public M&A.

• September-qualified England & Wales solicitor.
• Training gained at an elite US or Magic Circle firm.
• Strong exposure to Private Equity is preferred.
• Candidates with primarily Public M&A experience must demonstrate a clear and proactive interest in Private Equity.
• Strong academic background and excellent technical grounding.
• Confident, commercially minded and capable of operating in a high-performance environment.
