
Overview
A leading US law firm is seeking an Insurance / Insurance-Linked Securities Associate to join its specialist London practice. The team advises insurers, reinsurers, financial institutions and sponsors on complex insurance-sector transactions, including innovative and market-leading deals.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a mid-to-senior level associate with insurance-sector experience to join a growing team working on sophisticated cross-border matters within a highly specialised practice.
What You’ll Do
• Advise on complex insurance-sector transactions, including insurance-linked securities and structured insurance products.
• Support cross-border deals involving insurers, reinsurers and financial institutions.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documentation relating to insurance and structured finance transactions.
• Work on innovative and emerging structures within the insurance and reinsurance markets.
• Engage directly with clients and play a key role in managing transaction workstreams.
About You
• England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent common law qualification).
• 4–6 years’ PQE with experience in insurance, structured finance or related financial services transactions.
• Experience working with insurance or reinsurance clients is highly desirable.
• Candidates with a mix of private practice and relevant in-house experience will be considered.
• Strong technical skills and commercial awareness.
• Motivated to develop within a specialist and fast-growing practice.
Salary & Bonus
• Competitive US market-aligned compensation (NQ reference salary approximately £165,000).
• Performance-related bonus structure.
• Target billable hours of approximately 1,825 annually.
