An elite global law firm is looking to add a Capital Markets Associate to its market-leading team. This is an opportunity to join one of the most highly regarded Capital Markets practices in the U.S., advising public and private companies, private equity sponsors, investment banks and financial institutions on some of the market’s most sophisticated transactions.
The team advises on a broad range of equity and debt offerings across multiple industries, with particular strength in sectors including energy, infrastructure and industrials. Based in New York, you’ll join a leading corporate platform working alongside nationally recognised lawyers on complex domestic and cross-border matters.
The Role
You’ll advise clients on a wide range of capital markets transactions, including:
- Initial public offerings (IPOs)
- Follow-on equity offerings
- High-yield and investment-grade debt offerings
- Private placements and other securities offerings
- SEC reporting and ongoing compliance matters
Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, you’ll be involved throughout the transaction lifecycle, from drafting offering documents and conducting due diligence to managing deal execution and advising on securities law and regulatory matters.
As your career progresses, you’ll take on increasing responsibility, work directly with clients and help supervise and mentor junior associates.
About You
The firm is seeking associates in the 2020–2022 class years with significant capital markets and securities transaction experience gained at a leading law firm.
You should have experience in:
- Public and private securities offerings
- SEC reporting and compliance
- Drafting registration statements, prospectuses and other offering documents
- Managing transaction execution
- Advising issuers, underwriters, private equity sponsors or financial institutions
The successful candidate will have strong technical ability, excellent drafting skills, commercial awareness and the confidence to work on complex, high-value transactions within a collaborative team.
